Fly from Yangon to Mandalay. Lunch and afternoon sightseeing tour of Mandalay city including Mahamuni Temple. Dinner, overnight and breakfast at the Sedona Hotel.


Saturday, 10th September 2005(MONYWA - MOKTAW)
Morning departure from your hotel in Mandalay for the coach journey to MONYWA to join the Road To Mandalay. Enjoy a splendid Burmese Buffet Lunch while the ship sets sail - later your Captain and Crew will meet with you for the Welcome Address and Orientation Briefing. The ship anchors at MOKTAW where a memorable sunset excursion is organized to MOKTAW PAGODA. Return to the Road To Mandalay for your Welcome Cocktail Party on the deck followed by dinner in the restaurant.


Sunday, 11th September 2005(KANI - MAUKKADAW)
This morning the Road To Mandalay will cruise to KANI. Upon arrival, step ashore for an excursion to the village. Lunch onboard as Road To Mandalay continues the journey north to arrive MAUKKADAW in the early evening for a village tour. After dinner onboard, enjoy a lecture in the Piano Bar.


Monday, 12th September 2005(MINGIN - KALEWA )
Depart Maukkadaw and cruise to MINGIN where the ship anchors for passengers to step ashore and visit the MINGIN MARKET and KYIDAUNG PAGODA. Return to the Road To Mandalay and relax onboard before lunch while the cruise continues through the stunning scenery along the banks of the Chindwin. Evening arrival at KALEWA and passengers can join a walking tour before sunset. Kalewa is one of the main river towns and is approximately 100 miles from the Indian border. Tonight after dinner, be entertained by CHIN Dancers onboard.

Tuesday, 13th September 2005(KALEWA - KALAYEMO)
Disembark for an early morning journey via local transportation to KALAY. The road follows an exciting river gorge for 45 minutes before arrival at Kalayemo, on the border of the Chin State, to explore two market places. Return to the Road To Mandalay for lunch. Early evening sailing to arrive MATU at sunset.


Wednesday, 14th September 2005 (MATU - KINDAT - MAWLAIK)
The Road To Mandalay sets sail at sunrise for the northernmost stop of KINDAT where passengers will be greeted by the river folk before a tour of the village and school house. Back on board, the ship turns its course for the southward cruise journey while passengers enjoy lunch. Arrival at MAWLAIK which was an important river town during the British colonial period. Walking tour in the early afternoon. Cruise down river for overnight anchorage at KYWEGU


Thursday, 15th September 2005 (KYWEGU - MONYWA)
Road To Mandalay resumes sailing while passengers relaxant enjoy a leisurely morning onboard followed by lunch and a Lepetho cooking demonstration in the Lounge. Arrive MONYWA, Myanmar's third largest city. Walking tour in the afternoon. Back on board for dinner and a colorful performance by the Royal Acrobatic Show.


Friday, 16th September 2005 (MONYWA - BAGAN)
Depart Monywa and transit the Sinbyushin Bridge before continuing on to transit the Chindwin and Ayeyarwady Junction. Arrive BAGAN after lunch. Sunset tour of this ancient site and cocktails at PYATHADA PAGODA. Farewell dinner onboard the Road To Mandalay before passengers are entertained by the charming and famous puppeteers of Bagan.


Saturday, 17th September 2005(BAGAN - YANGON)
Leave the ship this morning and return by air to Yangon.
